Raymond Smith, Andras Borbely, Rudie van Staden and Lihao Wen were the latest names to secure qualification for the 2026/27 Paddy Power World Darts Championship.

Smith claimed a first ANZ Premier League title in Brisbane after losing in the final last year to secure a return to Alexandra Palace.

The Australian star dominated throughout the tournament and will now make a fourth World Championship appearance and first since 2023, having made the last 16 in 2021/22.

Borbely will make his debut at the sport’s flagship event after triumphing in the Hungarian Super League.

The 21-year-old, who finished fourth on the rankings, won through the final eight without conceding a set to emphatically confirm his spot in North London in December.

Van Staden will also make his maiden outing at the World Championship, emerging as the victor of the African Darts Group Southern Africa Qualifier.

The South African saw off top seed Johan Geldenhuys and denied Cameron Carolissen 8-3 in the final to book a first appearance at Alexandra Palace.

Meanwhile, Wen’s victory at the China Championship ensures he too will make his debut at the World Championship.

The 43-year-old became the second winner of the China Championship after defeating former back-to-back champion Xiaochen Zong in straight sets in the showpiece.

There are just 13 international qualifiers to be confirmed for December’s World Championship, with November set to be pivotal.
