Lihao Wen defeated Xiaochen Zong to claim a first PDC China Championship on Monday.

Wen won seven straight matches in Nanjing to win a maiden China Championship, confirming his debut at the 2026/27 Paddy Power World Darts Championship in the process.

The former World Cup star conceded just two legs in his three group stage victories to reach the last 16, before winning six straight legs to defeat Wenqing Liu.

The 41-year-old then swept aside Pengyu Sun in the last eight before seeing off Yuanjun Liu to reach the final and set up a showdown with defending champion Zong.

Wen produced a stellar performance, winning nine of the last 11 legs to romp to a 3-0 victory and become just the second-ever China Championship winner.

Wen had finished second on the China ProTour after winning two titles, and will now feature at a first PDC Premier event after defeating his former World Cup partner Zong.

Zong was denied a seventh appearance at Alexandra Palace after an underwhelming performance in the final, despite a strong run on Monday.

The two-time China Championship winner won all his group stage matches, before reaching the final without conceding a set thanks to a hat-trick of 2-0 wins over Xicheng Han, Zhijun Cui and Tianxiao Cao.

The four final events of the China ProTour also took place across the weekend, with Wen and Zong picking up a title each.

Wen claimed glory in Event 17 on Saturday, including last-leg deciding wins against Binjie He and Zong in the showpiece to scoop a second title of the year.

Yuyi Shao won his first title of 2026 at Event 18, defying Wen 5-2 in the final and averaging over a ton in his whitewash win over Desheng Li en route.

Jianjun Jia claimed Event 19 on Sunday, seeing off Wen on the way and pipping Chao Geng 5-3 in the showpiece.

Zong closed out this year’s China ProTour with a ninth title of the year at Event 20, conceding just six legs across five dominant victories including a 5-1 drubbing of Tianxiao Cao in the final.
